WHEE! WHEE! WHEE!

NOW I KNOW WHY I HAVE THIS STRANGE AFFINITY FOR PGMA...
But before I get to that. I'm all misty about the lovely photograph above and the lovely post done by the talented draughtsman/photographer/blogger/Cebuano, Ren Enriquez.

This uber-sincere, married, aplications engineer, and "Spanish-painter-in-a-past-life" documented his entire Manila day experience complete with courtesy shots of his post-tour meal at Blue Wave at the Reclamation Area. Be sure to click onto his archive posts if only to check out the charming water color illustrations.

Football, Brushstrokes, et al

Oh. And the reason why I have this weird empathy/sympathy for the president. Someone on Ren's blog also called me a "dwarf".

He called you a "dawf" - no definition available for that. You are indescribable :)
Great pictures on his site, makes me want to do the tour again!

Who could possibly call me tubol aside from someone from my traumatic highschool past. I shall ignore.

I know molto. What does brio mean? :o)

I just babelfish.com-ed molto con brio in Italian and french version.

Rough translation: With much idiot brilliance.

Fabulous.

What a weird insult to call someone. I had to look up "tubol" myself at pinoyslang.com. So it means "matigas na tae."

I'm totally mystified why that would mean anything. If someone shouted "matigas na tae" at me on a street, I'd be like "Huh?"

Actually, it was a strange term of endearment coined by some bisaya speaking conyo kid "popular guys" in High school who used to pick on me. They all ended up as losers in rehab/broke/other such achievments.

Wonder who that was who typed it in though.

So that's what molto con brio meant. I thought it meant 'ghost with a shiny head.'

In high school, the cool kids term of endearment for me was jakol. Jack or Jackie for short. Based on a character in a Dolphy movie.

They can call you by all the names they want but I was impressed by your Intramuros tour. Once I have gathered some pictures of Ivan Dy I make a little series about you guys.

Maybe they all ended up losers/addicts to get rid of their tubol.

Peanut was a nickname to another Cono kid/expat friend named Billy Ridgway (who supposedly had the body type of the Planter's Peanut logo) by the same aforementioned conyo kid guys. Is that you who typed that Billy? If so, cool. Long time no hear.
