ROCKING THE ROCK AGAIN!

I WANNA ROCK WITH YOU...SCHEDULE AND COSTS

Remember my last trip to Corregidor? The one here, here and here? Well, I loved the place so much, I'm actually going to do it again... and again and again. And this time, I want you to come with me.

This summer, Sun Cruises, the lovely folks who run the island's hotel and tour program, and I have put together an interesting overnight package that aims to re-introduce the island's distinct attractions. Together we can unhurriedly check out its historic sites, visit it's different museums, go ghost-hunting among its ruins, stroll down a leafy path, climb an old Spanish lighthouse, watch birds and monkeys, enjoy a pot-luck sunset cocktail, or just laze away by the hotel pool and have a cool San Miguel Beer if one is so inclined. I assure it will be an interesting weekend where one can rediscover the charms of what I hope will become Manila's next overnight tourism destination of choice.

The overnight trip to Corregidor includes accomodations, transportation, four full meals, and all tour activities and the Light and Sound Show. Only twenty-eight (28) slots available:

FEBRUARY 28 - MARCH 1, 2009
MARCH 28 - MARCH 29, 2009
Departure Manila 8:00am Saturday.
Return Manila 3:45pm Sunday.

Adult (twin/dbl/tpl):
Php5,000.00 / person
Child without bed:
Php4,000.00 / person

Single accomm:
Php5,700.00 / person
Child with bed:
4,500.00 / person

And be sure to bring a little snack or drink to the sunset potluck cocktail too.

Contact: Kristine Castro 5268888 loc. 9502 or anyone from the Reservations Department of Sun Cruises for more information and current rates.

Looks lovely. I've never been to Corregidor so I might consider this one :)

Carlos -- your tour should really rock if you and Edward (Corregidor's best tour guide) joined forces. You'll have people lining up for miles.

5:03 AM
Blogger carlosceldran said...

Then it will still rock because Edward is going to give a tour that weekend as well.

I'm just hosting the journey, I'm not going to take over the whole island. The tour will be more "curated" than "recreated" so to speak.

I'm not going to reinvent the wheel here. Corregidor already rocks. And I just want everyone to know it.

HI senor. Actually, I am arranging an overnight tour because day tours are already available and popular (and they are great too).

I am arranging the overnight because not many people associate corregidor with an overnight trip.

Seeing as you don't have a tour this month we will go have a look on our own. We will def go back for your overnighter tho.

I was wondering if you have any art gallery/artist studio tours in Manila. I heard there are some good areas for this and I'm sure people would be interested.

Cheers, David

I was the anonymous asking you if you had a May 10-22 tour. Unfortunately, you later announced your Canada tour in May, much to my disappointment.
I can not change my dates of visit to the Philippines. So, I took it upon myself to call Sun Cruises and made reservation for an overnight.
You would not believe how GREAT it turned out to be. Everyone was pleasant and friendly, the tour guide (lady named Momet? very charming and knowledgeable of history and full of pertinent information about history and WW2).
I had a solo reservation and put me at Room 222, very simple, rustic and basic room for one.
Upon registration, I signed up to all the activities suggested and really had a good time. Dinner at La Playa restaurant was interesting for a vegetarian. Had churros con chocolate for dessert that came out the highlight of the meal.
Nextday, after the sunrise and short trail, I hired a trail guide and went bat caving. The snake midway along cave cut it short. Then it was a hike around the island in the deep forested areas up to the mountain top. The lush forest was thick enough the trail was shaded by the canopy of the surrounding trees many meters up.
Overall, I got more than I bargained for in a trip I thought would not be as good without you leading the way.
Hope your trip to Canada was worth your while and had a fun time.

So glad you enjoyed Peregrino.

Yes. I have always believed Corregidor would be cool for anyone on their own. So glad you saw it my way, even though I wasn't there.

Hope to see you though the next time that you are in Manila?
