ROCKING THE ROCK AGAIN!
I WANNA ROCK WITH YOU...SCHEDULE AND COSTS
Remember my last trip to Corregidor? The one here, here and here? Well, I loved the place so much, I'm actually going to do it again... and again and again. And this time, I want you to come with me.
This summer, Sun Cruises, the lovely folks who run the island's hotel and tour program, and I have put together an interesting overnight package that aims to re-introduce the island's distinct attractions. Together we can unhurriedly check out its historic sites, visit it's different museums, go ghost-hunting among its ruins, stroll down a leafy path, climb an old Spanish lighthouse, watch birds and monkeys, enjoy a pot-luck sunset cocktail, or just laze away by the hotel pool and have a cool San Miguel Beer if one is so inclined. I assure it will be an interesting weekend where one can rediscover the charms of what I hope will become Manila's next overnight tourism destination of choice.
The overnight trip to Corregidor includes accomodations, transportation, four full meals, and all tour activities and the Light and Sound Show. Only twenty-eight (28) slots available:
FEBRUARY 28 - MARCH 1, 2009
MARCH 28 - MARCH 29, 2009
Departure Manila 8:00am Saturday.
Return Manila 3:45pm Sunday.
And be sure to bring a little snack or drink to the sunset potluck cocktail too.
Contact: Kristine Castro 5268888 loc. 9502 or anyone from the Reservations Department of Sun Cruises for more information and current rates.
Adult (twin/dbl/tpl):
Php5,000.00 / person
Child without bed:
Php4,000.00 / person
Single accomm:
Php5,700.00 / person
Child with bed:
4,500.00 / person
And be sure to bring a little snack or drink to the sunset potluck cocktail too.

Looks lovely. I've never been to Corregidor so I might consider this one :)
Carlos -- your tour should really rock if you and Edward (Corregidor's best tour guide) joined forces. You'll have people lining up for miles.
Then it will still rock because Edward is going to give a tour that weekend as well.
I'm just hosting the journey, I'm not going to take over the whole island. The tour will be more "curated" than "recreated" so to speak.
I'm not going to reinvent the wheel here. Corregidor already rocks. And I just want everyone to know it.
Corregidor IS the Rock!!!
Ay, wish a one-day tour will be offered also! Please arrange it naman, Carlos.
HI senor. Actually, I am arranging an overnight tour because day tours are already available and popular (and they are great too).
I am arranging the overnight because not many people associate corregidor with an overnight trip.
THIS IS SUCH A BRILLIANT IDEA!
Corregidor has always been a dream:) count me in! i'll be there.
How much?
Were still figuring out the costing but I believe it will be around Php3850.00 thereabouts...
hey i'm glad to be back.. i do hope you still remember me ^^, .. well i really2 would LOVE to go there and i just hope i'd have enough spare money for that tour.. coz i'm really buying a lot of stuffs lately.. well i hope there'll be a "next" year for this just in case i missed this one. ^^,

Seeing as you don't have a tour this month we will go have a look on our own. We will def go back for your overnighter tho.
I was wondering if you have any art gallery/artist studio tours in Manila. I heard there are some good areas for this and I'm sure people would be interested.
Cheers, David

Hi Lynn. The copy on the corregidor cruise is just an episode of travel time. I think their contacts are online...
Thanks Carlos for your blog now we have more places to visit everytime we go back to Pinas.
We stay in Singapore and we make it a point to bring our kids to a different place in the philippines every year in december.
Love your site!
I enjoyed this tour so much! Thank goodness you're doing it again, so I can tell my friends to go!
would love to do this tour. do you include touring the laterals at night as well? is that a must on an overnight trip?
Yes. We tour the laterals. But it varies, sometimes at night. Sometimes in the daytime.
We visit the hospital at middleside for the ghosthunting at night mostly.
hi Carlos!
i sent an email for entry to your contest... pls do reply so i know you receive it. Thanks!
oh corrigedor is LOVELY. i haven't been back to the philippines in a LONG time. and THAT is definitely one of my first places i'd love to go to.

a word form france... saw you again on tv (cable channel odyssey) travelogue on the philipines featuring palawan, donsol & manila. your intramuros, quiapo and chinese cemetary tours were prominent. i think it was a german production. really well done. and you were great in it too!
mikelinparis
Yes. Of course. Lots of the vets of Corregidor are senior citizens. The island is geared for that demographic..
I'm planning a trip to the Philippines in second half of July. Do you have overnight Corregidor trips schedule in July? Thanks.
Hi there! Actually I haven't set that schedule yet. Is there a weekend you prefer? I was thinking of the last week of July...
The last weekend of July (26 and 27) would work. I'm really looking forward to the tour. There will be two of us (I'm taking my 21 year old son). Thanks.
Heidi
OK. July 26 and 27 is fine. But could you email me at celdrantours@hotmail.com with your full names so I can send it to our reservations department?
Hi Carlos, hope you can post your full July schedule soon, thanks!
hi! my friends and i are planning to go to corregidor on july 5-6. do u know how much for overnight trip?
Yeah. Their overnight packages without all my bells and whistles is listed here:
http://www.corregidorphilippines.com/
You will have much fun.
will you have more tour dates after july? :)
will you be having another tour in august or september?
Lets see. It's been put on hold for now because of the rainy weather. Maybe October would be the next one...
I'll be going on my own - which is probably what's stopping me from going altogether. Wouldn't it be a little bit depressing if you go just by yourself?
Will you be having any overnight tours Nov/Dec?
hi, im planning to go to the feb 28 tour. are there student discounts? also, how do soon do we have to reserve slots? thanks
Hi there. Yes. There are still plenty of slots. Reserve as soon as possible by texting.
There are discounts for children, yes of course.
Anything planned in May 2009, between 10th and 21st?
Any dates for Corregidor overnight tour for April or May?
My husband and 2 of my BFFs truly enjoyed our Intramuros walking tour last Feb. 11th (3PM) that we've decided to go back to Manila next year and this time, join your overnight Corregidor tour. Do you have tours in October?
Take care,
NEC
I love and proud of my country, the Philippines, so i wl vote for the pride sites of Palawan.....and took this opportunity to invite everyone to visit the pride places for tourists in Samar specifically Calbiga and Basey both are in the province of Samar...
of course...Palawan is very proud of thier tourists sites...i've never been there but i could see its very beautiful...and i wl surely enjoy and feel the adventures in there...
THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE CARLOS CELDRAN IN THIS LIFETIME!
=)
just wanted to ask when the next overnight tour would be? This is one i could not miss!
Hi! I am arranging our department's outing and we are considering an overnight trip to Corregidor (possibly May 16-17). Would it be possible to schedule one with you curating? We have a lot of foreigners and they would really enjoy it if you could tour us. Thanks!
Sorry I am in Toronto at that time...My apologies.
Hi! This is Corinne Osena, when is your next overnight corregidor tour schedule? Thanks!
I was the anonymous asking you if you had a May 10-22 tour. Unfortunately, you later announced your Canada tour in May, much to my disappointment.
I can not change my dates of visit to the Philippines. So, I took it upon myself to call Sun Cruises and made reservation for an overnight.
You would not believe how GREAT it turned out to be. Everyone was pleasant and friendly, the tour guide (lady named Momet? very charming and knowledgeable of history and full of pertinent information about history and WW2).
I had a solo reservation and put me at Room 222, very simple, rustic and basic room for one.
Upon registration, I signed up to all the activities suggested and really had a good time. Dinner at La Playa restaurant was interesting for a vegetarian. Had churros con chocolate for dessert that came out the highlight of the meal.
Nextday, after the sunrise and short trail, I hired a trail guide and went bat caving. The snake midway along cave cut it short. Then it was a hike around the island in the deep forested areas up to the mountain top. The lush forest was thick enough the trail was shaded by the canopy of the surrounding trees many meters up.
Overall, I got more than I bargained for in a trip I thought would not be as good without you leading the way.
Hope your trip to Canada was worth your while and had a fun time.
So glad you enjoyed Peregrino.
Yes. I have always believed Corregidor would be cool for anyone on their own. So glad you saw it my way, even though I wasn't there.
Hope to see you though the next time that you are in Manila?
I'll surely be in touch next time I'm around in the Phils.
Have you seen this? Another venue to expand your offers.

Hi,
