WORK! WORK! WORK!

AND THE OUTSOURCING GOES ON...
Oye oye to all of you out there in the loyal city of our affections who still speak our colonial Castillian tongue. Now you can use your mouth to make a few bucks. PLDT is looking for call center agents who can speak Spanish. The pay is good (better than most jobs available in the country I'm sure), the hours are decent (you could work part-time, a 30 hour work load is available), and best of all, there is no age limit to the job so even your 78 year old Spanish speaking grandmother can apply. Please send your resume and letter of intent to:

Archie M. Yamane
Program Transition Manager
Business Development
5th Floor PLDT Building,

Magaleng, magaleng, magaleng (hands clapping)!!!

I stand up in awe of that equal-opportunity clause. A breath of fresh air in this unethical country (when in comes to workplace practices).

Hello Carlos!
It's Julia, from The British School Manila.
I just want to say a huge thank you from all of us - we enjoyed your talk thoroughly!
Make a good use of that passport! ;)
Thank you, and I will hopefully be coming on another trip with you, with my mother.
Bye :)

Congratulation! You win! " our colonial castillian tongue" has got to be my extra special pretentious phrase of the week.

Anonymous was right on the money. This is so ignorant. I wish your castillian relatives all the luck in the world as you try to help America's diverse hispanic populace. This is so laughable.

Or as ignorant, Anonymous #1, to assume Indians can't speak proper English. As a reformed stateside receptionist, I've found Indians do as well calling in with the Queen's English as we Indios do with the President's. Americans got the butt end of the report card, I'm afraid.

And Filipinos are as built for multilingualism as we are for multiculturalism, by the way; you just don't think we are.
