BACK IN THE GROOVE...
I'm back in the pink of health. And man, did it take a while. After a full week of rest, steroids, anti-biotics, paracetamol, peipakua, African sea coconut tonic, and a trip to Corregidor to recuperate, my voice is back and the infections and fevers are gone. A million thanks to everyone out there who sent me their best wishes.
Hopefully, the Citibank building will go the way of the Philtrust Building on Plaza Moraga, which is now being restored and repainted to it's former glory. I can't wait to see what the result will be like. I never liked Philtrust and it's owner Don Emilio Yap's attitude towards heritage structures (his defacement and desecration of the Manila Hotel is simply criminal) but this project, I'll give him props for.Cheers folks.

my goodness...i didn't even know that you had gotten ill. It's a good thing you are well now. How're things and what were you down with?
i'm looking forward to getting into one of your foot travels along the manila streets...and then some.
:)
Happy trails Carlos!
Great to hear you're back, Carlos! The blogosphere was markedly less, er, intelligent for a few days there.
And this last post is well up to your usual high standards. What's the history of the building?
hiya carlos lagi ko nakikitayan pag nasa lrt ako yan pala yan hayy napaka historical talaga ng manila
Carlos, you keep getting cuter in your pics.
Isn't there anyone out there who knows what's happening over at Citibank building? Are they really tearing it down or fixing it.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Hi Carlos. Its my first time to see your blog and its really amazing to have these city tours coz we badly need them to regain our love for this country. I have studied those structures in your tours for 5 long years. 4 years and a professional license later ... im saddened by what the government is trying to do to these structures, making everything look modern and erasing the beauty of the past. I saw this video over at Youtube, when Manila was still called the Queen of the Pacific. Very interesting. I love the originality of our jeepneys but I want the TRAM back. I want to have to glory days of Manila's architecture back.
Again, great job. I'm hoping to join one of your tours soon.
