I think it's enough to live one's life according to the 10 commandments. (Plain and simple rules.)

Delving into any religion makes one nutty. But I might go to Fullybooked to check it out and see how many pa-social and gullible people there are...

2 nights ago, full moon, I was approached by a Jehovah's witness who gave me the usual pamphlets and pep-talks legitimizing their mission. After all that cajoling, the old man asked for 1,000 Pesos because he said that he hadn't eaten and he needed money to go back home. Knowing I'm a good person, I hesitated but gave him money anyway. Now that I think about it, was I gullible? Was I being tested? Was that old man the same character as the Enchantress in Beauty and the Beast?

I don't freaking know. I'm just rationalizing the fact that I'm out of a thousand pesos and probably just got swindled...I could have used the money to take Carlos' Tour! :)

I agree with your first sentence absolutely and completely. And to make things simpler, I think it's enough to live according to the golden rule. Do unto others...

And yes. Please go to fully booked and check it out if you can. I think it will be interesting and I'm sure the sosi folk would welcome their kind with open arms. (after all, you apparently can afford to give away 1000 pesos - that shows you can afford stuff more than most it seems).

And don't worry about being taken for a ride either, you generously gave to that JW without any expectations of anything in return.

That does prove you are a good person.

And to show you that things do go back to those who deserve it, come along on a tour as my guest. Para bawi na.

Hope to see you at the tour. Or at the Kabbalah talk.

(Oh, and I'm not Kabbalah ha). I'm just curious and want to check it out.

dear anonymous,

(1) i don't think it's enough to live one's life according to the 10 commandments... no offense... bec for one thing, if i do, i can covet my neighbor's husband, basta hindi wife. maybe the first commandment lang as carlos said... love thy neighbor...

(2) kabbalah is not a religion.

(3) if and when you give money away, mean it. then you won't have regrets.

beware any organization that sells wisdom, or claims some secret or esoteric fix.

save your money, and your time, and do not let these people get their hooks into you.

here is a link to an article I found via google---you can check it out for yourself, whether you are Christian, Muslim, agnostic, or a practical atheist, JUST say NO to abdicating your better judgement.

Well, I doubt Kabbalah can be any more bizaare than the rest of the website you mentioned above.

Wild stuff. Pages on the evils of feminism and public schools...
