YOU WANT YOUR GTV? HERE IT IS...

I have always preferred rock over rap. Check out RIVERMAYA's new video for Presidential candidate Gilbert Teodoro. Way to go, Rivermaya. Go Gibo. I'm totally looking forward to GT's new website. Apparently, it comes out tomorrow. February 1.

This is Rivermaya?!? It looks like a sad cover band without Rico Blanco or Bamboo.

At least they've stopped using that OTHER Rivermaya song where they did not even get the expressed endorsement of the SONGWRITER (and main vocalist)!!

I think it's a video. Not really an ad. Pretty expensive to air if so. I'm not a fan of Rivermaya.

And Roger. Good question! Hmm. Where is Rico Blanco right now? We all haven't heard from him or Warner in a while.

doesn't remove the fact that he was inept as NDCC chair. But managed to squander millions of government/agency/taxpayer's money in the airing of his commercial/pre-campaign politicking as NDCC chair. funds he was far better off using for equipment that would have made him effective as NDCC chair.

once again, hype, video, image, and a moderately capacity for word-phrasing.

Oooh Anonymous Internet Tough Guy.

Ondoy was the largest unprecedented flood in Philippine history and it was all totally Gibo's fault. Yup. Gibo is an asshole for not being a fortune teller and seeing this in his crystal balls.

And MILLIONS of pesos spent to teach people how to deal with calamities is really a waste of money. Better not to teach them shit at all. Better to save that money and keep them ignorant in the event of any calamity.

Is that the best you can come up with? No wonder people tell you haters to fuck off.

he should've used the millions to procure disaster management equipment, not squander it to get his face on tv.

he is not faulted for ondoy, just for his incompetence in dealing with it.

just my 5 per-cents worth. so don't have a coronary.

for a person who vends himself as one of competence and intelligence, isn't it rather insulting that Gibo foists Edu Manzano on the already Gloria-abused population...one-heartbeat away from ruling our lives.

Okay. Let me answer this.

Informing the public what to do during a disaster is always important. Considering that NO disaster of that scale occurred yet, informing the public did seem like the best investment at the time.

And even Gilbert will admit that he was caught by surprise by the scale of the disaster and it was humbling. But truth be told, he did do his job to the best of his capabilities given the resources. HE just did not ADVERTISE it and mark his name on relief goods.

Gilbert has learned a lot of lessons from Ondoy and plans for making NDCC more effective the next time. First and foremost is that the NDCC should have local arms. Quite a bit of the incompetence occurred because it was a SINGLE coordination unit dealing with multiple provinces and terrains. He hopes to localize the NDCC so that each province will have thier own NDCC. A local govy NDCC that is familiar with the terrain and situation instead of one monolithic overextended NDCC.

And personally, that makes sense to me.

You might not have liked the way he performed with Ondoy, but considering the lessons he learned, Gilbert would be the best man in charge when the next disaster comes.

Just my five cents worth as well. No coronary necessay for anyone.
