CARLOS RECOMMENDS!
I have been looking for that quintessential Manila sunset bar. One that's a little bit chic with an unobstructed, open-air view of the South China Sea, one that totally takes in the majesty of Manila Bay. And voila! I found it. Who knew it would be on the top floor of the Manila Ocean Center, right outside of food hawker central, Makansutra (which incidentally, I really like because it's good - AND REALLY cheap. Perfect grub for tourists in Malate on a budget and students). But I digress. Back to the bar overlooking Manila Bay. It's called whitemoon and they are still on trial run. Their menu, drinks list, and logo are still in development, but even then, it's a bar totally worth supporting and totally worth the trek if only for the breeze, the sun, the moon, and well, the majesty of Manila Bay.And they are open till past midnight too. Very cool.

I'm almost sad that you're publicizing this, Carlos, because now more people will know about it and it'll be harder to get good spots! :) Highly recommended place.
Wonderful, Carlos! I will check it out soon. I really miss living by the bay. Best views in Metro Manila. Remember, we both moved into Carmen Apartments at the same time ten years ago. That was the most stylish building on the boulevard before it turned orange.

This area is used as an exit for visitors of the Manila Aquarium.

I SHOULD check this place this weekend! Or better yet, this midweek holiday. This place is surely great at night time. Hope they have affordable gin tonic :)

This bar sounds good but the entire strip is actually quite a sight especially during dusk.
The Manila Ocean Park is also very interesting, especially because I'm a diver.

the point is.. alot of people passing on the back, and theres a restaurant behind it.. kinda annoying .. so i suggest go there late when the restaurant behind is closed.. around 11pm maybe.
my fiance kips on telling me dat we nid 2 try white moon bar bcoz of d gud ambiance and nice food..but bcoz of my super bz sched, we still wernt able to.. 8s our anniv nextwik and i wana surprise him by having a dinner 4 two @ ur place.. help! i want 8 2 be romantic sna.. tnx
