PASS THE RH BILL NOW!

Here is that Reproductive Health Bill television and viral spot that we worked on last month. Check out folks like future Senator Tado, Former Prime Minister Cesar Virata, Dame Lea Salonga, yours truly, and even BISHOP Rodrigo Tano voice out support for the RH Bill.

We're almost near the finish line, guys. Congress simply must vote on this before the year is up and we have to pressure them to do so. Please pass this video around and keep the fire burning. We should not drop the ball.

Carlos your politically correct secular doomsday predictions, makes me go all out for the "demonized" catholic church!!(NO to RH Bill! Yes to Natural Family Planning! Yes to Family! Yes to Purity!)

this bill paradoxically makes women all the more suffer(some pills give breast cancer)

good for you. And your theocratic unrealistic mix of dogma and misogyny makes me strive to work even harder to make sure that the bill passes. To each their own brother.

this bill is taking too long. i am personally against abortion that is why i'm in favor of prevention. i'm also aware of the economic disadvantage of an unplanned family - i see it everywhere in this country. besides, the vast majority of the people support it. that is why i support the RH bill. this is twenty years late already.

let me paraphrase an American bishop's words:

"People who accept and support condoms can also do the same abortion, euthanasia and violence"

Fulton J Sheen(RIP+)

That was 1952,now it is sadly fulfilled all over the world!

(By the Way: Read the Link I gave you.I already read all the RH bill,it's more of a decoy bill to please moderate Catholics, and MISLEAD THEM. Don't Be a Coward you have to give the bill a benefit of a doubt.)

Concerned brother.

You are so on the wrong site. I support a woman's right to make a choice in terminating her pregnancy and I believe in Euthanasia.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out of here.

And don't bother praying for me either.

Cheers

kthanxbye.

The Philippines has too many children who are in need. Adding more only adds to the misery. Why cant normally rational, intelligent people see this? They are blinded by dogma and the political motives of politicians and clergy. Not allowing this bill to pass is a SIN!!!

Scientist: Pope Was Right About AIDS

Says Abstinence, Fidelity More Effective than Condoms

RIMINI, Italy, AUG. 27, 2009 (Zenit.org).- The director of Harvard's AIDS Prevention Research Project is affirming that Benedict XVI's position was right in the debate on AIDS and condoms.

Edward Green stated this in an address at the 30th annual Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini, sponsored by the lay movement, Communion and Liberation.

Green, an expert on AIDS prevention, said that "as a scientist he was amazed to see the closeness between what the Pope said last March in Cameroon and the results of the most recent scientific discoveries."

He affirmed: "The condom does not prevent AIDS. Only responsible sexual behavior can address the pandemic."

Green continued, "When Benedict XVI said that different sexual behavior should be adopted in Africa, because to put trust in condoms does not serve to fight against AIDS, the international press was scandalized."

The Pope made this statement in a meeting with journalists en route to Africa last March.

The scientist affirmed that the Holy Father spoke the truth. He noted, "The condom can work for particular individuals, but it will not serve to address the situation of a continent."

Change habits

Green added: "To propose the regular use of the condom as prevention in Africa could have the opposite effect."

He explained the phenomenon of human behavior called "risk compensation," whereby a person "feels protected and thus exposes himself more."

The researcher and medical anthropologist asked: "Why has an attempt not been made to change people's customs?"

"The world industry has taken many years to understand that measures of a technical and medical character are of no use to solve the problem," he added.

Green highlighted the successful policies that have been implemented in Uganda to battle AIDS, programs based in the "ABC" strategy: "Abstain, Be faithful, and, as a last resource, use a Condom."

He reported: "In the case of Uganda, an impressive result has been obtained in the fight against AIDS.

"The president was able to tell the truth to his people, to young people, that on occasions some sacrifice, abstinence and fidelity are necessary.

"The result has been formidable."

Yes, sure, abstinence works, say that to all those rape victims and children with AIDS in Africa.

Oh, and the scientist said this, didn't he: "The condom can work for particular individuals, but it will not serve to address the situation of a continent."

And to the guy who said, pills causes breast cancer: this is why girls go to their OB-GYN to check if they can take pills. What, you think we'll just pop it and see what happens? This is why we need the RH bill - women are not going to their OB! Heck, they don't even know what their system look like! Do you even know how yours look like, and how it works, huh?

p.s. BCP reduces the risks for ovarian cancer, btw. I guess you wouldn't know what ovaries are, either.

Why is this only limited to arguments about women? Would this benefit men too? Or are the men too, uh, proud that they shouldn't know more about the state of their reproductive health? And by this, they won't allow women to know theirs?

Wow. How misogynist can you get. Women should hate you and not carry you or your offspring.

What, do you think you can handle the truth?

we should all listen to one another. hear what the other is saying. understand each other. not insist on our own conclusion regardless of anything. if we insist, we will have civil war! peace, love, harmony! understand, tolerate, communicate! and yes try not to be angry and cuss! That is the SIN!
